After careful consideration, we deeply regret to inform you that the Annual South Texas HBCU College Fair has been cancelled for 2021.
With many important decisions coming up soon for the Class of 2021, we eagerly anticipated the Annual College Fair this year; having the opportunity to inspire high school students despite these unfortunate circumstances is something we cherish deeply at I.M.BRACE Education. However, we must also keep the safety of both our college-bound students and parents in mind. With roughly 18,000 new cases daily in the state of Texas, we have decided to cancel the College Fair to keep our students and their families safe during the pandemic.
Fortunately, many colleges have taken the initiative to host their own virtual information sessions this year in lieu of visiting an in-person college fair. We highly encourage students to seek out these opportunities to learn more about their colleges of interest; virtual resources can be found on the university website. These virtual fairs will give students the opportunity to both demonstrate interest to the admissions committees and network with university faculty from the safety of home.
I hope you will understand the circumstances under which I have made this difficult decision. I wish the best for our students’ future college endeavors. Please do not hesitate to utilize the college resources here on our website and reach out to colleges you are interested in for additional information. We intend to make our next South Texas HBCU College Fair well worth the wait.
